India’s mystery spinner Varun Chakravarthy is unlikely to take any further part in the ongoing ICC T20 World Cup.
After being sidelined for the last match against Afghanistan with a calf injury, Chakravarthy was seen going through a fitness test at the ICC Academy in Dubai.
Later, the 30-year-old finger spinner was given an extended bowling spell in the nets under the supervision of bowling coach Bharat Arun.
Chakravarthy played in the two matches where India suffered defeats and failed to claim a single wicket. His replacement Ravichandran Ashwin, who featured in the match against Afghanistan, impressed with two wickets in his four overs.
