Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday addressed a poll rally for Punjab election 2022 and appealed to the electorate to vote for Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and give him a chance to serve the people of the state.
Addressing a rally in Pathankot, PM Modi said the people of several states have given him the chance to work for the people by voting for BJP but the party never got the mandate to govern Punjab.
“I appeal to you to vote for BJP and alliance and give me 5 years to transform the state. The welfare of the poor is above all for my government,” the prime minister exhorted.
Coming down hard at Congress, PM Modi said the grand old party is busy questioning the valour of our brave soldiers while questioning the surgical strikes.
Further hitting out at Congress, the BJP’s star campaigner said we look at Punjab with a vision of ‘punjabiyat’, while our opposition sees through the prism of politics.
PM Modi also took aim at the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) which has emerged as a strong contender in the Punjab election 2022, saying that it is the photocopy copy of Congress.
The prime minister and BJP leader remembered Sant Guru Ravidas on his birth anniversary and told people that he offered prayers at the ‘Shri Guru Ravidas Vishram Dham Mandir’ in Delhi.
