Coronavirus: Reports 11,850 New Covid Cases, 555 Deaths

India today logged 11,850 fresh Covid cases, which is 5 percent lower than yesterday’s figure. The country also reported 555 Covid deaths over the last 24 hours.

Currently, the active coronavirus cases in India account for 0.40 percent of total infections, which is the lowest since March 2020 days. The country’s caseload of 1,37,416 is the lowest in 267 days.

Meanwhile, Covaxin, the coronavirus vaccine developed by the government’s medical research agency and Bharat Biotech, was found to have a 77.8 percent efficacy rate against symptomatic COVID-19 in a long-awaited analysis published in The Lancet.
