India on Tuesday reported 2,568 fresh Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, according to the updated Health Ministry data. The total Covid-19 cases in the country reached 43 million, according to Health Ministry data.
Additionally, Covid-19 deaths reported in the country continued to be below 100, logging 97 deaths in the last 24 hours, taking the total death toll to 515,974, the Health Ministry data further revealed.
The country’s active caseload has now fallen to 33, 917 and active cases constitute 0.08 percent of the total confirmed cases. Kerala, at 8,800, still has the highest active COVID-19 caseload in India.
In the 24-hour period, a total of 4,722 recoveries were added taking the total recoveries to 4,24, 46, 171 while the recovery rate reached to 98.72 percent.
India’s daily COVID-19 test positivity rate has now reached 0.37 percent while the rolling average of the weekly positivity rate reached 0.46 percent.
As per the figures shared by the health ministry, a total of 77.97 crore total tests have been carried out so far of which 7,01,773 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours.
It also showed that 180.40 crore COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered in the country thus far while the Centre has provided 182.84 crore vaccine doses to states and UTs.
