Bangladesh defeated Zimbabwe by three runs in their T20 World Cup 2022 Super 12 stage fixture, at The Gabba in Brisbane on Sunday.
Defending a target of 151 runs, Bangladesh restricted Zimbabwe to 147 for eight in 19.5 overs. Sean Williams played a knock of 64 runs off 42 balls but failed to take his side past the finish line. Meanwhile, Taskin Ahmed took three wickets, Mosaddek Hossain and Mustafizur Rahman bagged two-wicket hauls. Initially, a knock of 71 runs off 55 balls by Najmul Hossain Shanto helped Bangladesh post 150 for seven in 20 overs.
