The Ashes rivals Australia and England will face each other on Friday (28 Oct) in the Super 12 stage of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022 at the MCG.
Match was scheduled to start at 1.30 pm, but the match has been delayed due to incessant rain in Melbourne.
Australia made a decent comeback to win their second game against Sri Lanka, after being down in their first one against New Zealand. They have 2 points to their tally and are placed second-last on the Super 12 points table. They will be aiming to capitalize on the momentum here.
England is coming off a shameful defeat at the hands of Ireland in the second game in which rain interruptions played a major role in deciding the fate of the game. They, too, won one of their two games, and are standing third on the Super 12 points table.
Both teams will be aiming to bucket this crucial game in their favor as Group 1 stands wide-open for all teams following the earlier upsets. A cracking game of cricket seems to be on the cards here once again.
